日本語 Take up the arms
A masked shinobi crouched on a castle roof under a crimson moon, a shuriken leaving his hand.

得物 For the one who answers

Steel remembers the hand that holds it.

Seven arms from one forge. Heavy in the wrong hand. Light in yours.

A shinobi arsenal laid out on rice paper: katana, shuriken, kunai, chain sickle, caltrops, grappling hook.

Two stances. One chain.

The silent watch reads the wall from the road. The full assault tests the wall itself. What one blade finds sharpens the next.

  1. A kunai driven into the seam of a wooden gate beam.
    一苦無

    The Kunai

It digs before it cuts. Every room the ledgers remember.

Every name the house ever gave itself.

  2. A gloved hand releasing three shuriken trailing crimson ink.
    二手裏剣

    The Shuriken

Thrown at every door at once. The living ones ring back.

Every door on every house, counted in one breath.

  3. Iron caltrops scattered across a stone path before a gate.
    三撒菱

    The Makibishi

Countless points in the dark. Each one a known wound.

Whatever is weak will step on one.

  4. A chain sickle whirling in a crimson spiral.
    四鎖鎌

    The Kusarigama

The chain tries every seal. The sickle finds the unguarded door.

Thin armor and empty posts, brought to light.

  5. A grappling hook biting over the top of a castle wall under a red moon.
    五鉤縄

    The Kaginawa

Over the outer wall. Into the inner court. Every path walked.

Where the first wall ends, it begins.

  6. A hidden blade sliding out of a plain wooden staff.
    六仕込み刀

    The Hidden Blade

A plain staff. Inside it, a cold mind reads everything gathered.

Then it names what to close first.

  7. A katana being drawn from its black scabbard.
    七刀

    The Katana

The last blade. Drawn by your own hand, at one gate only.

Once drawn, it moves on its own.

A blade laid across a folded oath scroll beside a blank crimson seal.

誓

The sworn hand draws.

Every weapon asks first: is this wall yours, or are you sworn to test it?

Is your hand steady?

Take up the arms

Ask in silence. You will be answered.
